To develop the infrastructure and localization of Iran’s railway industry, Mapna Group entered the field of rail transportation with large investments, and in 2007, it built an engineering factory and built Mapna locomotives with the aim of independence in the design, engineering, and production of freight, passenger and shunting locomotives. started. Right after the launch of the passenger locomotive production line under the license of Siemens in 1989 and 1990, a proposal to build passenger, freight, and shunting locomotives was proposed by the engineering team of the company with some senior managers, and the acquisition of the engineering knowledge of these locomotives by the domestic expert force It was placed in the priorities of Mapna Group in 1991-1992, until within 18 months, six tunnel locomotives were produced and put into operation in this company.
After some time, Mapna Group also became active in the field of urban trains. The presence of this group in metro projects goes back to 1387 and participating in the Mashhad metro tender, followed by participating in the Qom monorail tender in 1388. The engineering, management, and financing characteristics of Mapna Group were considered an advantage that led to the progress of this group in the rail field and its entry into Tehran Metro tenders and finally signing the contract for Tehran Metro Line 6 in 2015.
Currently, Mapna Group’s vision in the field of railways is to develop the domestic market and use local experts to design and manufacture railway equipment. This group plans to enter foreign markets at the same time as the country’s rail transportation industry grows.

بنیانگذاری صنعتی ملی در سطح جهانی و تلاش بی و قفه در جهت رسیدن به سازمانی نوآور، کارآمد و پویا در زمینه طراحی، مهندسی و ساخت، مونتاژ و راه اندازی، خدمات پس از فروش و نگهداری و تعمیرات انواع محصولات ریلی افتخار شرکت مهندسی و ساخت لکوموتیو مپنا می باشد. ما براين باوريم که توسعه پایدار سازمان جز با تعهد عینی و نگاه علمی به صیانت از محیط زیست و سلامت انسان ها و حفظ منافع تمامي ذينفعان ، بالاخص کارکنان و نیز تضمين رضايت مشتريان ميسر نيست ، بدين منظور استقرار سيستم مديريت يکپارچه کيفيت، محيط زيست و ايمني و بهداشت شغلي مبتني بر استانداردهاي ISO ۹۰۰۱:۲۰۱۵ ،ISO/TS ۲۲۱۶۳:۲۰۱۷ ، ISO ۱۴۰۰۱:۲۰۱۵ وISO ۴۵۰۰۱:۲۰۱۸ را به عنوان راهي مطمئن برگزيده و تمامي تلاش خويش را با تاکيد بر اهداف راهبردي ذيل، بکار مي گيريم:
